If worship is “the act of delight,” then how do I delight in what I should? Randy Alcorn has a suggestion:

“By denying errant appetites and meditating on the right things – you can train yourself to desire what’s proper.” – Randy Alcorn, “Purity Principle”

This is the role of fasting in the believers life. Go without, to train your desires.

Brilliant.
